Pesach 2027 in South Florida: Passover Programs, Hotels & Local Options

Pesach 2027 in South Florida: Passover programs, hotels and local options, April 21-29, 2027

Pesach 2027 starts the evening of Wednesday, April 21 and ends at nightfall on Thursday, April 29. If you are thinking about spending it in South Florida, whether at a full program, a hotel with meals, or your own rental, now is the time to decide. The best rooms at the big programs go first, and most early-booking rates disappear over the winter.

Below: every Pesach program we found in South Florida for 2027, with the hotel, hashgacha and what makes each one different, plus the rest of Florida and what to do if you would rather stay local.

First days of Yom TovThursday–Friday, April 22–23, running straight into Shabbos

Last days of Yom TovWednesday–Thursday, April 28–29
Pesach endsNightfall, Thursday, April 29

Heads up: the first two days of Yom Tov fall on Thursday and Friday, so they run directly into Shabbos. That is three straight days of Yom Tov and Shabbos with no shopping and no driving. You can cook on Yom Tov itself, but cooking on Friday for Shabbos requires an eruv tavshilin, so plan your food for all three days if you are making Pesach yourself. It is also one more reason many families book a program this year.

  • Crowd: Mostly Modern Orthodox with a mix of observance levels. Both Ashkenaz and Sephardic minyanim, rabbi-led table sedarim and private seder rooms for groups.
  • Location bonus: It’s in Aventura, minutes from the restaurants on our Aventura kosher list for family visits after Yom Tov.

  • The resort: 800 acres, five golf courses and a 48,000-square-foot spa. Doral is about 15 minutes from Miami International Airport.
  • Ask about: The listing doesn’t name the hashgacha, so confirm it with the program before booking.

Majestic Retreats at The Westin, Fort Lauderdale

  • Price: Listed at $10,500–$17,000 per person.
  • Hashgacha: International Kosher under Rabbi Berel Simpser, with Ashkenaz and Sephardic minyanim.
  • Why it stands out: It’s right on Fort Lauderdale Beach, with an all-day oceanfront BBQ, a tea room and nightly Chol Hamoed entertainment (comedians, magicians, live music).
  • For kids: Tiny tots, day camp and teen programs, plus an art studio and basketball clinics.
  • Learning: Scholars including Rabbi Yaacov Laredo, Prof. Marc B. Shapiro and Dr. Joseph Shatzkes, plus a daily daf.

Kosherica and Leisure Time Tours at PGA National, Palm Beach Gardens

Two long-running operators both list PGA National for 2027, each with Foremost Caterers. The resort has five golf courses, 19 tennis courts and a 40,000-square-foot spa.

  • Kosherica: 17th year at PGA, under International Kosher Mehadrin, with the entire hotel reserved for the program and a full children’s program.
  • Leisure Time Tours: 16th year at PGA, under ORB supervision, with infant care, a day camp for ages 4–12, teen activities, daily minyanim and Chol Hamoed trips.
  • Tip: Because both list the same resort, ask each one exactly which dates and which part of the property they have, and compare the hashgacha you’re comfortable with.

Silan at The Alexander Hotel, Miami Beach

Not a classic program, but a strong middle option. Silan, a Kosher Miami-certified glatt restaurant, runs Pesach at The Alexander Hotel on Collins Avenue: both Sedarim and all Yom Tov and Chol Hamoed meals from a fully koshered kitchen, with an on-site shul and Shabbat elevators. You can book a private room or holiday seating. It’s a good fit if you have a rental or family nearby and just want the meals handled. Call (305) 939-5264.

Elsewhere in Florida

  • Tampa: Saddlebrook Resort, with both Kosherica (International Kosher Mehadrin, mostly 800–950 sq ft suites) and Leisure Time Tours (a racquet-sports paradise with 40-plus tennis courts and pickleball).
  • Orlando: Grand Getaways at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando (near Disney, with a day camp and scholars-in-residence) and A Perfect Pesach (private villas with pools and meals delivered).
  • Sandestin (Panhandle): Pesach Getaways, for families who want a quieter Gulf Coast beach.

How to choose a Pesach program

  • 1. Hashgacha first. Programs here run under International Kosher (Rabbi Berel Simpser), ORB and Kosher Miami. Pick the one your family holds by, and ask about matzah, gebrokts and kitniyos policies if they matter to you.
  • 2. Kids’ program hours. “Kids program” can mean anything from two hours a day to full-day camp with trips. Ask for the daily schedule and the counselor-to-child ratio, and whether infants are covered.
  • 3. Full vs. partial stay. Most programs run about 10 nights (April 20–30). Several offer first-days-only or partial stays, which can cut the price a lot.
  • 4. Minyan and crowd. Ask whether there are Ashkenaz and Sephardic minyanim and what the crowd is like. Some programs are mostly Modern Orthodox, others more yeshivish.
  • 5. Location. Aventura, Doral and Fort Lauderdale put you near family and airports; Palm Beach Gardens and Tampa feel more like a getaway.
  • 6. Book early. Ocean-view rooms, connecting family rooms and early-bird rates go first, often before the new year.

Staying local? Pesach without a program

  • Meals only: Silan at The Alexander (above) covers Sedarim and Yom Tov meals while you sleep at home or in a rental.
  • Rentals: Miami Beach and Surfside fill up with Pesach rentals. Book walking distance to your shul, and confirm the kitchen can be kashered or comes kosher-for-Pesach ready.
  • Restaurants on Chol Hamoed: Most kosher restaurants close for the Sedarim and Yom Tov, and some reopen on Chol Hamoed with a kosher-for-Pesach menu. In 2026, for example, Kosh in Surfside closed for the Sedarim and served prix fixe lunch and dinner on Chol Hamoed. Restaurants usually announce plans in March, and we’ll publish a 2027 Chol Hamoed list then.
  • Shopping: Kosher markets stock up on Pesach products in March. Find one near you on our kosher markets list.
  • With kids in Surfside or Miami Beach? Our kid-friendly Surfside guide has parks, the beach and the Harding Ave map for Chol Hamoed days.
