Orlando is the top family vacation in Florida, and for kosher travelers the first question is always the same: what are we going to eat? The good news is that Orlando has a small but solid kosher scene, mostly clustered between Disney, International Drive and Dr. Phillips, plus kosher options inside the theme parks themselves.
Here is where to eat, where to shop, how kosher meals work at Disney, Universal and SeaWorld, and what to do for Shabbos.

Kosher meals inside Walt Disney World
Disney serves kosher meals that come sealed from a certified kosher vendor, served without breaking the seal and with wrapped utensils. Check the seal and the hechsher yourself when it arrives.
- No advance notice needed (subject to availability): Satu’li Canteen and Tiffins (Animal Kingdom); Rosie’s All-American Cafe and Sci-Fi Dine-In (Hollywood Studios); Sunshine Seasons, Garden Grill and Coral Reef (EPCOT); Cosmic Ray’s and the table-service restaurants at Magic Kingdom; and quick-service and table-service spots at Disney resort hotels.
- Everywhere else: request a kosher meal at least 24 hours ahead. Mention it when you book, or call Disney dining at (407) 939-3463 to add it to an existing reservation.
- Buffets and family-style restaurants: you get one kosher meal at the regular price, not all-you-can-eat.
- Snack carts and kiosks don’t carry kosher meals.
At Disney Springs, Erin McKenna’s Bakery is a vegan, gluten-free, pareve bakery under Florida K. Note that items with oats are not Pas Yisroel and the ice cream is not certified.
Kosher food at Universal and SeaWorld
Universal Orlando: kosher meals are pre-ordered, not walk-up. The local kosher community guide says to email food.allergy@universalorlando.com at least 4–5 days ahead with your dining reservation, restaurant, party size and time, and lists the price at about $85 per meal. Confirm the current price and process with Universal when you order.
SeaWorld: frozen, sealed kosher meals can be heated at several park restaurants, including SeaFire Grill and Expedition Cafe. Allow 45–60 minutes for heating and ask at the counter early in the day.
Shabbos in Orlando
- Chabad of South Orlando (7347 W. Sand Lake Road, 800-765-7905) is the hub for visitors. Its website has tourist and minyan pages, plus holiday meal order forms.
- Plan Friday food early. Orlando’s kosher restaurants close early Friday afternoon and stay closed on Shabbos. Order Shabbos meals from a caterer like Motti’s, or pick up prepared food on Friday morning.
- Pick your hotel by walking distance. If you need to walk to a minyan, check the distance from your hotel or villa before you book, not after.

Quick tips
- Call before you go. Hours change around Jewish holidays and the off-season.
- Get a kitchen. A vacation home or villa plus a grocery run beats paying theme-park prices for every meal.
- Meat vs. dairy: Kosher Grill and Motti’s are meat. Chalavi and Krembo are dairy. Plan the day around which one you want for dinner.
